Master Scholarship in Astronomy and Astrophysics at Erasmus Mundus AstroMundus Scholarships

Overview
AstroMundus is a 2-years Erasmus Mundus Masters Course ( 120 ECTS) in Astronomy and Astrophysics offered by a consortium of 5 partner universities in 4 different countries: Austria, Italy, Germany, and Serbia.

Its main objective is to provide top-ranked students with an excellent background in Astrophysics, to introduce them to the world of modern astrophysical research, and foster their future career in this field. At the same time, in the spirit of the Erasmus Mundus programmes, we promote cultural exchanges between Third Country and European students and academics.

AstroMundus students carry out their master studies in at least 2 and up to four of these countries, in a stimulating and scientifically excellent international environment.

Kompetisi ini bertujuan untuk mengenalkan pemrograman komputer dan
mengetahui sejauh mana kemampuan siswa-siswi SMP-SMA-sederajat di bidang
pemrograman. Kontes ini bisa diikuti oleh perorangan atau beregu
sebanyak 2 orang.
...Pada National Programming Contest tahun ini terdapat pembagian modul
sebelum pendaftaran peserta NPC dimulai, sehingga peserta yang masih
awam terhadap konsep programming juga bisa belajar dan mengikuti kontes
ini.

GREEN REVOLUTION

Green revolution is a new method in agriculture. The aim is to double the worldwide food production. But in the process, green revolution is not success, because the food production cannot keep up with the population. Besides that, this method needs many chemical fertilizers and equipments which very expensive. Green revolution has brought social and political conflict. The large landowners become even richer than the poor one. And the gap between them become even larger, the impact is that the social tensions increased. Governments need new methods according to the unsuccessful of these new methods. The method should be not destructive and better meet the needs of the world’s hungry people.

Functions of Internet for Scholars

Internet is like a pandemic, it has spread everywhere, in school, suburb, city, villages and so on. It has change people’s life, from children until old people because we could get everything with just one click and it is very simple. We can access internet through computer, notebook and mobile phone with internet connection. We can get anything from the internet, such as updated world news, hot gossip, information, education, enjoyment and so on. One of them is information about scholars. Scholars can help the students to keep study without worried about education payment, to continue to the next level of education and to get a job contract with some companies. And also we can continue our study throughout the world for free. So, it is very important to get a scholar for the students who are willing to get a much better education. The internet as a media for publishing the scholar makes it easier to get updated information about scholars and to help us get scholars easily.

We can easily access the information about scholar from the internet. There are many website provide the detailed information about scholars. We can access it from our computer or mobile phone with internet facilities. We can search it from search engine such as Google, Yahoo and so on. Just type the keyword, and then in less a second, we can see many links connected to the page that offers the whole information about recent scholars. One of them could be an official government’s website which offers profitable scholars and a jobs contract in one of government’s department. If we click one of the links, detailed information can be viewed in the monitor. The information includes the detailed procedure to get the scholars, the type of the scholars, the scholar requirements, and the purposes of the scholars. The types of the scholars usually provided by the website are full scholarship, grant and award, and partial scholarship. Next step, we can save the information to our computer to read it next time or we can click another links to select which scholar is the best for us. And we just need to sit down and relax to get the whole information about it.

Another use of internet is to help us getting scholars easier. Some website provides an email subscription to help us get the information about the newest scholars. If we submit our email address, that website will send the information through our email and we can read it anytime we want. Sometime we could get additional information from email about the scholars which can help us achieve the scholars easier. We can ask few questions related to scholarship to the website that provides the scholars by commenting on the comment form. Just type what you don’t understand about the scholarship and the administrator will do the best to answer your question. Sometimes the administrator would ask you to contact him/her to get further explanation about the answer of your question. A tip that guides us to fulfill the scholar requirements is also provided by some of the websites. The tips usually contains the steps that we must do to win the scholarship, maximizing chances of winning scholarship, applying for scholarship, and using scholarship money. Blog is usually called a personal website that can be edited by the owner and can be viewed worldwide. Sometimes people use blog as a place to write his/her inspiring story that happened in their life. The blog which tells a story from the people who has won the scholarship could inspire us to follow his/her trace.

So the internet makes much easier to get updated information about scholars and to help us get scholars easily. Just sit down and relax we can get updated information about scholars worldwide. It gets easier when an updated email about recent scholars sent to our email. It also can inspire us to win a scholarship. Without internet in this day, it is hard to get and select which scholars would be the best for us.

NATURAL PROCESS & DISASTER

Natural processes always happen around us, every day and every time. It happens on trees, plants, waters, water surface and soon. Natural process is an important aspect of human, animals and plants life. Natural disaster brings less balance to the natural process. Natural disaster happened everywhere; especially in inhibit areas where many people dwell in. It can bring direct damage to the nature which is important to natural process.

Everyday we can live because there is oxygen everywhere and it’s also free for anyone and everyone. Oxygen is produced by a natural process that involved tree as a producer of the oxygen. Trees produced oxygen for all creatures on earth which needs oxygen to live. However, all of these would be no longer ideal when national disaster occurs. One of the examples is when trees are damaged by natural disasters, such as land slides, floods, which make the trees cannot produce oxygen, it will affect the people’s life. Although there are so many trees in this world, we must realize that sometimes, it could be a hundred years later when trees are all disappeared and this world would be lack of oxygen in the air. Landslides could make the tree’s root damaged and bury trees, so the trees could not absorb the water from the ground to stay a life and produce oxygen. Landslides can be caused by a large earthquake that occur in a small or a big area. With so many natural disasters, the natural process cannot be continued smoothly.

Other example of natural disasters that could make the natural process unbalanced is tsunami. Tsunami can be caused by undersea earthquake or by landslides. They bring waves of destruction capable of damaging lake, wells and the land. The water from the tsunami bring mud, contains heavy metal which can contaminate the land, water surface and wells. For example, in a lake, fresh sediment is being produced, which is called sediment, but when heavy metal from the tsunami contaminated the lake, the fresh sediment production is disturbed. Fresh sediment is needed to nourish the wetland vegetation and to insure the buildup of land. Plants beneath the surface which produce oxygen, called algae, also contaminated. It can bring algae to the death, so the oxygen supply beneath the water surface reduced. Many organisms cannot survive with less oxygen supply beneath the water surface.

So natural disasters bring less balance especially to the natural process around us. If natural process is disturbed, then many living creature and non-living creature get the bad effects. Natural process also has an important role for the existence of our beloved world.
